We are seeking a passionate and motivated National Sales Manager to join our team to support our sales team and continue the growth of our business across Australia.
It's A New Beginning A unique role to build a unique business with huge growth potential As Trupanion's National Sales Manager - Veterinary Hospital Channel, you will serve as a pivotal link between the senior leadership team and veterinary clinics. Pet insurance has only 8% market penetration in Australia - so with 92% of pets uninsured, the growth opportunity is vast.
Your primary responsibility will be to support and manage our field force of 8 Business Partners across Australia as they visit vet hospitals across their assigned territory, building and maintaining strong relationships with veterinarians and their staff. Your efforts will contribute to promoting Trupanion's vision and enhancing pet healthcare through our exceptional pet insurance services.
Key Responsibilities: Support Trupanion's field force, mentoring them and ensuring that they have the tools and knowledge needed to make every vet hospital visit effective. Review sales data on a daily and weekly basis to inform the sales team of progress and identify when additional support or guidance may be needed. Review team activity to ensure effective management of call cycles and territories - dividing time between existing partner veterinary hospitals and prospecting for new partners. Monthly reporting to management team with weekly updates/highlights. Lead weekly team meetings to connect the team and provide updates and micro-training. Build and nurture relationships with key account offices and their regional veterinarians and staff where they sit outside your team's territories, to foster collaboration and trust. Conduct presentations and training sessions to regional veterinary hospitals to educate clinic staff on Trupanion's offerings and benefits. Gather and report feedback from clinics to help shape Trupanion's strategies and services. Identify opportunities for partnership and growth within key accounts and from input from your team. Attend industry events and community activities to represent Trupanion and increase brand awareness. Skill, Attributes and Experience: Experience managing small sales teams, motivating them and supporting them to be their best. Experience in B2B business development and maintaining relationships preferred - key account management experience a plus. Experience working within Veterinary hospitals or the Veterinary industry desired. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including fluency with Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive with preferred exposure to Dynamics CRM, SharePoint. Be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial drive, whilst being well supported by a nimble, growth-minded organization. Self-motivated, yet work well with others towards common goals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse individuals. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Passion for animal welfare and understanding of the veterinary industry is a plus. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
