Salary: EBA Level 4.1 ($82,600.08+Super)Location: Fawkner (Northern Memorial Park)The opportunity The Works Coordinator role will play a pivotal role in being physically on-site to assess issues, work hands-on and/or coordinate Contractors to complete various tasks.
The Works Coordinator will ensure the GMCT asset base is in a state of readiness and the Service Contract compliance is maintained to support the Risk Management as well as ensuring the Operations Teams are empowered to perform duties for positive outcomes.
Undertaking other duties in the best interest of the organisation within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification.
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Carry out routine inspections of assets and create Work Requests, as required.Administer regional Work Requests.Coordinate Contractors to respond to planned and ad-hoc maintenance requests.Perform Contractor maintenance quality inspections and report findings.Complete site hazard inspection checklist, where required.Oversee induction of Contractors and ensure all Contractors perform in accordance with their Service Contracts and GMCT Policies and Procedures.Ensuring appropriate administration and direction of stonemason activities and inspections at predetermined stages of monument construction.Appropriately review and document stonemason activity and sign-off for installation compliance.Ensure the correct and timely placement of memorialisation including plaque placement, interment/disinterment of cremated remains and plaques ensuring appropriate administration and receipt of plaque orders have been delivered, scatterings etc.Participate in any audit action recommendations.Provide assistance to memorialisation officer, as required.About you A relevant qualification in operations or other discipline.Knowledge of trade work and facilities maintenance.Experience with team supervision or an equivalent combination of training and/or experience.Ability to provide sound leadership and clear direction to staff and contractors.Ability to discuss and resolve issues by problem solving and negotiation.Possess cultural and religious awareness and sensitivity.High level of interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to apply these with internal and external stakeholders.A career with us: Our people are our most valued asset – we understand the importance of providing a rewarding, inclusive and supportive work environment where all people are empowered to bring their best selves.
