Our Community Development team in Darwin is seeking to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer in a permanent full-time capacity. Reporting to the Business Leader, you will have an opportunity to work on civil design projects related to land, urban and subdivision. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer who seeks to grow their technical and leadership capabilities in a global engineering consultancy.
About the role
This role includes project design and delivery across a range of projects and sectors. Projects range from early concept design and master planning through to detailed design and construction documentation. The role will require independent design, project delivery and stakeholder management.
The role will suit an experienced Civil Engineer with Australian experience, someone who has a good technical design background, strong consulting engineering and project delivery skills over a range of projects.
Day to day tasks would involve:
* Civil design mainly relating to urban, land, buildings and subdivisions
* Construction phase support, design review, stakeholder management, liaison with authorities, reporting, contract administration and quality audits.
* Liaising with engineers, designers, and drafters
* Adhering to professional standards, ethics and Stantec quality procedures.
* Managing clients and other consultants.
* Assist with project management and business development.
* Support Project Leaders Managers in completing projects in terms of program, profitability, technical risk management and overall Client satisfaction.
To be successful for this role you'll need:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
* Demonstrated experience in civil engineering related to design and delivery of urban, land, buildings and subdivisions
* Knowledge of applicable Australian standards, codes and state requirements
* Obtain CP Eng and NT Registration as soon as eligible
* Eligible to obtain Defence baseline security clearance
