Become part of our dynamic team as our Regional Lead of Grid Consulting for Asia-Pacific within the Digital Grid execution unit.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
As our regional Lead of Grid Consulting, you will be responsible for
7. Building, developing and leading a regional diverse team of experts and consultants, set, and manage their targets and priorities, and support them in flawlessly delivering consulting services to our local clients.
8. Shaping and implementing of the regional business strategy, ensuring that the goals and guidelines of our execution unit are met and leading to profitable growth and business success of the Grid Consulting portfolio.
9. Administration, coordination, and execution of local consulting services with internal and external clients – leveraging cost efficient and effective measures of utilization of our global consulting execution centers and partners.
10. A reliable and diligent business administration, including forecasting & planning information as well as operational reporting.
11. Represent the Digital Grid execution unit within the region Asia-Pacific and act as spokesperson for it on related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
(1) Leadership Excellence : Develop and spearhead a dynamic team of experts, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation with the ability to inspire, empower, and guide clients and team members towards achieving their goals through effective communication, collaboration, and strategic decision-making.
(2) Strategic Vision : Develop and implement a visionary roadmap for the evolution of our Grid Consulting business in the region, building a value-driven, differentiating & scalable portfolio strategy and identifying opportunities and partners to grow further.
(3) Stakeholder Engagement : Forge strong partnerships with governmental & regulatory bodies, associations, industry leaders, and key stakeholders to position Siemens Energy as a trusted partner in the region to navigate regulatory landscapes, policies, and technology application.
(4) Innovation Catalyst: Champion groundbreaking technologies, from smart grids to renewable integration, ensuring our grid stays ahead of the curve in an ever-evolving energy landscape.
(5) Operational Excellence: Oversee the offering and delivery of consulting services, to consistently deliver high-quality services, streamline processes, and optimize resources to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness for clients.
(6) Financial Acumen: Drive the performance of the regional business effectively, providing sound and reliable financial forecasting & planning, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensure a diligent operational reporting.
What You Bring
12. Bachelor’s degree in electrical power engineering (Master’s or degree preferred) with relevant professional experience conducting power system analysis both in steady and transient states (minimum 8 years of experience).
13. Proven leadership experience in the energy sector, with a focus on consulting and engineering services.
14. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a track record of successful project management.
15. Expert knowledge and experience in transmission planning and operating studies (100 kV ~ 765 kV), power system performance analyses including load flow, dynamic stability, voltage stability, protection coordination, short-circuit and transfer limits).
16. Deep understanding of ISO new resource application approval processes and grid planning considerations. Relevant experience working and communicating with ISO, RTOs, utilities, and developers.
17. Experience in conducting NERC Modeling (MOD) and Protective Relay (PRC) reports and tuning of power system stabilizer.
18. Advanced skills in HVDC applications, power transmission systems, NERC compliance, power electronics and new resource commercial development.
19. Experience in power system simulation programs ( PSS/E, TARA, PSLF, DigSilent PowerFactory, ETAP,
20. PSCAD/EMTDC, MATLAB/Simulink).
21. Appreciation of electrical balance-of-plant and industrial power supply concepts are a plus.
22. Demonstrated successful track record of a consulting project portfolio.
23. Hands-on expertise in programming tools such as Python, FORTRAN, MATLAB, etc.
24. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
25. An analytical and strategic mindset, always eager to explore and implement innovative solutions and applying problem-solving skills within a consulting environment.
26. Proficient language skill in English is required.
27. Flexibility to travel as needed, up to 40%.
