As a Web Publisher, you will be joining a dynamic team focused on the development and maintenance of the organisation's intranet and external websites, ensuring content is accessible, user-friendly, and aligned with government standards. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for: Publishing : Working as part of a small team to update and maintain content across both the external websites and intranet. Content Accessibility & Standards : Ensuring that published content adheres to Australian Government online standards, including WCAG 2.1 and the Australian Government Style Manual. Collaboration : Contributing to website development discussions, including user story development and team collaboration. Analytics & Reporting : Using tools like Google Analytics to generate website performance reports and assist in the creation of report dashboards. Stakeholder Engagement : Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including subject matter experts and external agencies. Quality Management : Managing time and workload to ensure the delivery of high-quality work that meets expectations. Our Ideal Candidate To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will demonstrate: Web Publishing Experience : Proven experience in publishing content in CMS platforms such as Drupal (govCMS), SharePoint, and WordPress. Technical Skills : High proficiency in HTML, and accessibility standards. Basic understanding of CSS and Javascript. Experience with Google Analytics 4 and web accessibility tools (e.g., Monsido) is highly desirable. Web Content Design : A good understanding of web content design, including plain English writing and alignment with the Australian Government Style Manual. Agile Methodology : Familiarity with tools like Microsoft DevOps and experience using them in an agile project management environment beneficial. Communication : Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work well both independently and in a team. Experience in training internal stakeholders on website publishing guidelines and best practices and familiarity with web testing and release management processes will be highly regarded. Location : Candidates must be based in Canberra, though there is some flexibility to work up to two days per week from home.
