You Will Be Responsible ForSupporting the health and wellbeing of the children through the planning and preparation of nutritious meals and snacks, from a seasonal menu.Carrying out the preparation of food for the children at the Centre.Ensuring the kitchen environment and equipment is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.Ordering and purchasing of ingredients and supplies.Communicating with Educators regarding specific dietary requirements of children and assisting them with clearing away after meals.Understanding, or have the willingness to learn, the importance of food and nutrition for children at different developmental stages, especially pertaining to infants.Uphold the rights of all children and acknowledge the place of childhood as a unique and critical part of human lifespan and development.The CentreHarmony Hope Island cares for 230 children aged birth to five years.
This amazing centre boasts an indoor sports centre and atelier and is located right in the heart of the Hope Island community.

About YouMealtimes and food are pivotal pieces in children's learning and development.
We are looking for someone who:
Will uphold the rights of all children and acknowledge the place of childhood as a unique and critical part of human lifespan and development.Has experience in understanding the financial parameters of food preparation, planning and managing appropriately to deliver on these.Demonstrates a thorough understanding of different dietary requirements and a solutions-focused approach to serving food so that the needs of all children are catered for.Has a Safety Food Handling Certification.Has previous experience in nutrition and dietary requirements of children within a childcare setting (desirable).Come and work with us!Click Apply or give our Centre Director Cleone a call on 07 5551 6736 or email us on ******.
