And we'd love you to join us!About the roleThe Senior Advisor, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) will work with the MEL Executive Manager and MEL Officer to embed strong monitoring, evaluation and learning across all work at VACCHO, in support of the organisation’s transition to an outcomes-focused approach. The MEL Senior Advisor will play a key role in fostering a culture of reflection and learning within VACCHO, help to build evidence of what works and why and demonstrate our impact. The MEL Senior Advisor will contribute to building VACCHO’s organisational capability in MEL, by supporting MEL structures, processes and systems and staff-skills building in MEL and organising or conducting evaluation activities.You will be well-positioned as an experienced storyteller with advanced analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data to develop meaningful and culturally appropriate reports.Essential skills/experiencesTo be successful in this role, you will need to have the ability to work under limited supervision and manage and coordinate the evaluation design, implementation and reporting for internal evaluation studies of VACCHO projects, services and activities (including their evaluation plans, theories of change and/or program logic models) that align with VACCHO’s Outcomes Framework and Strategic Plan.You will also need to have Tertiary qualifications in Evaluation or Social Science or a minimum of 3 years experience in a community, social research and or evaluation role.Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples are strongly encouraged to apply as your cultural and lived experiences are central to the work we do.Working for Community in a culturally safe Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation.Access to generous Not for Profit salary packaging entitlements and leave loading.Access to additional leave entitlements including cultural leave and bonus Christmas leave if employed at VACCHO into the following year.Organisational early finish Fridays and flexible working arrangements considered.Work in inner-city Collingwood with wellness spaces and end of trip facilities available.About Salary PackagingAs a Public Benevolent Institute (PBI), we are able to offer generous tax concessions to our staff.
