Here at HSBC Australia we have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager Business Decision Support to join us in providing dedicated advisory services to our Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) and/or Wholesale Business stakeholders, influencing the business strategy and shaping the forward-looking outlook for HSBC Australia.
Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing the business equity story, including deployment of capital decisions, resource optimization and investment appraisal.
2. Tracking existing strategic initiatives, investment opportunities and future business priorities, driving returns.
3. Leading AOP, Stress Testing and Forecast assumption process with the business and providing Finance perspective on the results in key governance forums.
4. Critically analysing business performance to define options which meet the strategic priorities.
5. Using data, reporting and insight to develop benefit cases and impact assessments.
6. Facilitating business reviews and tracking resulting business actions to completion, setting and communicating process governance and cycle timelines, defining key milestones.

Finance Knowledge - product and market knowledge, deep domain expertise, value hunting, using models, financial reporting, accounting and finance principles, regulations and policy, domestic economy impact, understanding the function, understanding of processes which shape business plans, external market trends, cost management, investment decisions, financial services knowledge.
8. Management and Leadership - stakeholder management, developing others, agile practitioner, personal or operational excellence.
9. Strong communication skills in areas such as business writing, verbal presentations and storytelling.
10. A good collaborator demonstrating a curious and commercial mindset, novel and adaptive thinking. Also, a proactive, problem-solving approach to problems.
11. Digital and Data - data driven decision making, data driven problem solving, root cause analysis
12. Bachelor’s degree in business, related field or equivalent experience highly desirable.
Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
