We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Financial/Accounting Controller for our Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region. In this exciting brand-new role, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, statutory reporting, and tax returns for our legal entities in ANZ. Reporting to the International Senior Controller, this role involves managing the local accounting team, ensuring compliance with country regulations, and driving process improvements.In this role, your key responsibilities will be:People Management: Lead and develop the ANZ accounting team. Foster cross-functional and global collaboration. Contribute to long-term organizational strategy.Financial Accounting: Oversee and approve accounting entries. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. Collaborate with global teams on revenue accounting and analysis. Ensure timely and accurate accounting for intercompany transactions.Financial Control: Oversee payroll and bank payments. Prepare and review cashflow statements. Monitor governance and implement changes to authorizations and segregation of duties.Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax obligations, including Corporate Income tax, GST, and payroll tax, for both Australia and New Zealand. Collaborate with Global Tax department on Transfer pricing documentation and accounting for related party transactions.External Reporting: Review and approve annual financial statements and tax returns. Manage relationships with auditors and other service providers. Stay informed on evolving regulations for accounting, financial, and ESG reporting.Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvements in accounting, reporting, and tax compliance processes.
