Salary: $142,002 per annum pro rata + 11% super + annual leave loading (dependant on qualifications and experience).

Position Status: Ongoing contract of employment, with a 6-month qualifying period.
The Faculty of Health Science, Community and Social Studies provides a progressive, innovative, and supportive teaching environment with strong industry links.
We are seeking an outstanding individual to provide educational and strategic leadership as the Head of School – Vocational Education Nursing Programs. You will be an experienced educational professional and leader with high-level educational and operational knowledge necessary to support the achievement of educational and business objectives. You will have the ability to inspire and engage both our student and staff community.
You will identify innovative delivery modes for VET nursing and health programs, foster collaborations and partnerships with industry stakeholders, and drive student recruitment strategies. Your responsibilities will also include managing compliance with ASQA standards, Training Package qualifications, and funding agreements.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated knowledge of the nursing and health sector, including current and future trends. In addition, you will have sound knowledge of the vocational education and training system. This position will require substantial experience with human, physical and financial management within the VET sector.

ABOUT YOU
o Nursing degree or equivalent, current nursing registration (AHPRA) and approved adult teacher training.
o An experienced educational professional and leader with high level theoretical, educational, and operational knowledge necessary to support the achievement of educational and business objectives.
o Demonstrated knowledge of the nursing and health sector, including current and future trends.
o Comprehensive understanding of current issues in the VET sector and application of the legal and regulatory requirements of the VET environment.
o Proven ability to provide strategic direction and vision for VET programs and initiatives, aligning them with broader institutional goals.
o Understanding of training packages, ensuring alignment with industry standards and educational objectives.
o Knowledge of innovative teaching and learning strategies, including an understanding of a variety of educational models, simulation-based education and delivery methods necessary to support and meet the diverse needs of students.
o Strong organisational and communication skills as well as networking and stakeholder management abilities.
