About the opportunity
On a day-to-day basis, the Assessment and Contracts Analyst’s responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with the administration and maintenance of the Department of Treasury and Finance Prequalification Scheme and the Technology Services List;
* Undertaking research, investigation, and analysis into contemporary procurement issues and practices;
* Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to provide timely and accurate advice;
* Providing support and/or participating in the procurement, contract management, and administration of whole-of-government contracts;
* Working as part of a team to ensure that the Branch’s responsibilities are effectively achieved;
* Assisting with the operation and maintenance of the Tasmanian Government Purchasing and Tenders websites;
* Preparing a range of written material, including briefings, memorandums, correspondence, and reports.
About the Branch
The primary responsibilities of the Procurement, Risk and Contract Management Branch are to provide advice on and manage the Government’s procurement policy and framework, manage whole-of-government contracting arrangements, and proactively minimise the cost of risk to government agencies.
