Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Building Manager to support the efficient operation and management of a large mixed-use complex in East Melbourne. This role involves overseeing daily activities, managing maintenance and repairs, coordinating with tenants and owners, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.Competitive salary with potential to be increased based on experience.Key Responsibilities: Maintenance and Repairs: Oversee and coordinate routine and emergency maintenance and repairs.Resident Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for residents, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.Administration: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, tenant communications, and regulatory compliance.Team Support: Assist the Building Manager in managing on-site staff and contractors.Community Engagement: Foster a positive community environment within the complex. Key Criteria: Experience: Minimum 3 years experience in property management or a related field.Skills: Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Knowledge: Familiarity with building maintenance systems and health and safety regulations.Qualifications: Relevant experience in property management, facilities management, or equivalent qualifications.Personal Attributes: Proactive, reliable, and able to work under pressure. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with residents, contractors, and staff.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
