We are looking for a qualified Vet Nurse who is passionate about training and mentorship – you will be a strong patient advocate with the ability to maintain high levels of care, identify training gaps in clinics to then roll out the solutions!About The RoleThis is a part-time position; however, we can offer full-time hours by combining with a clinical role in either a Greencross GP clinic or at one of our emergency hospitals. Working closely with the Regional Clinical Director and the Area Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of strategic planning as it relates to clinical training, education, clinical performance, and specific recruitment for our dedicated nursing teams across the Sydney South GP network. This role will offer you the opportunity to coach and mentor at a peer group level, resulting in an uplift in standards, patient care, capability, and in turn client satisfaction and business performance.This offers an initial 9-month contract with the potential for a permanent position thereafter.This role involves working closely with our clinic teams across various locations from Petersham to Wollongong (with the odd trip to Canberra!), meaning the role requires availability to travel.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesWork with clinics and individual nurses to provide clinical training.Address clinical standards of care and assist the clinic in increasing nurse capability and improving the nature and quality of client & patient interactions.Provide regional mentorship to nurses needing assistance with clinical standards.Positively influence clinical outcomes aligned with strategic initiatives relating to nurse clinical care.In collaboration with the Area Manager & Regional Clinical Director, construct a training action plan where skills gaps have been identified in clinic teams.Prepare and deliver training at Team Leader Meetings and Nurse training seminars.Oversee student placements and internships for the region.Assist Regional Clinical Director & Area Manager to identify relevant training and leverage L&D team to develop content.Assist in interviewing, and induction of Head Nurse positions and provide assistance with other recruitment opportunities.Collaborate with industry stakeholders to create opportunities and strengthen pipeline.Collaborate with Area Manager & Regional Clinical Director to improve retention of Clinical nursing team members.Assist the Regional Clinical Director and operations team with upholding and adherence to the Greencross Standard of Care through education, training, and mentoring of individuals and wider teams.About Your Skills And AbilitiesCertificate IV Veterinary Nursing or above - Diploma of Veterinary Nursing highly regarded.High level knowledge and skill of professional veterinary nursing principles, practices, concepts, and procedures.Have worked in a companion animal setting for a minimum of 3 years with a strong surgical background.Proven strong focus on continuing education and training.Ability to provide training and education to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of the clinic teams.Knowledge of relevant educational content and appropriate methods of delivery and the ability to develop and facilitate relevant and effective education for adult learners.Knowledge of a variety of educational options such as academic education, experiential learning, consultation, teaching others, professional reading, distance learning, research, and self-directed activities.Excellent leadership and team building skills.Strong interpersonal skills to inspire patience, flexibility, creativity, and perseverance in others.Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills.Ability in Microsoft Office including – Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Apply Now via the link!Seniority LevelNot ApplicableEmployment TypeContractJob FunctionOtherIndustriesVeterinary
