This Federal Government Department that provides strategic direction and national leadership of Australia's education system, is seeking a dedicated APS6 Program Officer to join our team. Your new role offers an exciting opportunity to support the management of grant agreements and engage with grant recipients to ensure compliance with their obligations.
Your new role
As an APS6 Program Officer, you will provide grants management support. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
* Support staff within the team to manage grant agreements.
* Engage with grant recipients to assist them in complying with their grant agreement obligations.
* Review and approve Activity Work Plan (AWP) reports, including:
o Reviewing AWP reports in accordance with guidelines.
o Checking proposed activities against recommendations of the Selection Advisory Panel.
o Making recommendations to accept an AWP report or seeking additional details on activities, as appropriate.
o Filing relevant documentation.
* Provide a consistent level of high-quality work.
* Keep up to date with relevant changes in a fast-changing environment.
* Analyse and interpret data to identify issues and provide solutions.
* Perform other related ad hoc tasks, as required.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your new role, you will have existing knowledge of, or the ability to quickly gain an understanding of, the Commonwealth Grant Rules and Guidelines, experience in, or an understanding of, grant management, strong written and communication skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team and the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
To be considered for this role, you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
