The role of the Procurement Officer is responsible for the delivery of SAAS tactical medium risk procurements and contributing discrete deliverables in higher risk procurements to ensure compliance with relevant Procurement Services SA legal obligations and Office of the Industry Advocate policies and directives The role is also responsible for SAAS contract management activities relating to procurements, ensuring appropriate commercial agreements are in place for delivering projects and programs.What We Offer: Work in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment with a culture of inclusion and diversity.Giving back to the people of South Australia!

Key Responsibilities: Procurement Management:- Develop and prepare procurement documents (RFQs, RFTs, risk assessments, acquisition plans, purchase recommendations)- Undertake supply market analysis and develop procurement strategies- Ensure compliance with relevant procurement laws, policies, and directivesContract Management:- Manage contract administration activities and maintain contract documentation- Review contracts periodically and mitigate risks or deficiencies- Manage contractor/supplier performance and ensure compliance with contract termsFinancial Management:- Track and report financial expenditure for procurement and contract activities- Conduct expenditure analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities- Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and accountability requirementsReporting and Documentation:- Prepare regular reports on procurement, contract, and project progress- Maintain central registers for procurement, contracts, and software licenses- Maintain accurate filing systems and records managementStakeholder Management and Customer Service:- Provide advice and assistance to stakeholders on procurement and contract matters- Establish and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers- Contribute to identifying strategic issues and recommend appropriate actionsTeamwork and Collaboration:- Maintain sound working relationships with team members and stakeholders- Contribute to team meetings and the achievement of department objectives- Support continuous process improvement activities within agreed scope and timeframes
