As a HR specialist you'll work closely with internal teams and our casual labour force to deliver tailored support across various operational functions.
Key Responsibilities Managing and Supporting investigations by ensuring compliance with Labourpowers policies and legal obligations Provide advice on best practice initiatives to internal stakeholders and clients Develop and update workplace policies, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and industry standards Ensure accurate reporting to Labour Hire Authorities (VIC/QLD) and handle renewal of Labour Hire Licences Manage end-to-end internal recruitment processes, from job creation to candidate onboarding Develop and deliver training programs and implement succession planning initiatives Manage visa-related inquiries and conduct background checks on candidates Handle Fair Work cases, represent Labourpower in disputes and mediate between parties when required Compile and provide the requested information in response to subpoena requests, ensuring all materials are prepared and submitted in advance of the court or submission deadline.
Provide reporting on Australian Bureau of Statistics and Gender Equality Reporting Monitor temp-to-perm transitions for candidates working with clients under a consistent and regular pattern Provide clear and accurate interpretation and understanding of relevant awards, enterprise bargaining agreements (EBAs), and industrial instruments Travel to other states as required Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field (e.g., Psychology, Industrial Relations, Management, Sociology) or equivalent Demonstrated experience in a similar role, with prior exposure to the labour hire industry considered highly desirable.
Knowledge/comprehension of Australian employment law, workplace relations, and industrial relations.
Understanding of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, and other relevant legislation.
Exposure to Employment Hero or similar HRIS platforms is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
