Connected with our custom built platforms, we use Adobe Commerce (Magento 2), Salesforce, and SAP.We are working on modernising our custom built platform, adding features and making it more robust, whilst also integrating large SAAS platforms, enabling us to scale the business.This role is 70% developing, 20% integrating, and 10% strategy/documentation.We are looking for our next rockstar to join our team that can help us continue to advance our custom-build platforms, plus assist with the integration of new technology within the business by bringing their years of experience as a developer. Reporting to the Technology & Project Director.You will join a medium sized IT team consisting of developers, operational support, and QA testers. You will enable us to increase our velocity and quality of the work we do.What would be your key responsibilities?Designing and developing web applicationsWorking with legacy and cutting edge technologiesCoding solutions and reviewing other developers’ codeEstablishing coding standards, naming conventions, and programming practicesBuilding/refactoring CI/CD pipelinesDocumenting technical debt and assessing risk and effortIdentifying opportunities for improvements in integration, code efficiency, and response timesIdentifying technical debt and implementing measurable solutionsBeing a gatekeeper for well-documented technical knowledge on design, implementation, process flows, and changelogsBeing a hands-on proactive developer tailoring solutions that deliver business value with future stability and maintainability in mindDocumenting all developed features including process mapsBuilding and configuring the platform according to Business Acceptance Criteria from our IT ticketing system, ensuring test cases are provided for validation by our QA teamDeveloping and optimising automated workflows, processes, and triggers to streamline business operationsExcellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex business requirements and propose innovative solutionsQualifications and Experience:7+ years continuous experience as a Senior PHP DeveloperExtremely deep skillset with PHP developmentExperience with Magento 2 and Symfony FrameworkExperience with AWS (RDS, MySQL, Lambda, EC2, etc.)Experience with integration platforms (Workato)Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with internal stakeholdersWhat’s in it for you?Full-time permanent, ongoing role, based in our Sydney Olympic Park office with ample opportunities for career developmentGenerous discounts on company productsRegular team activities*Previous applicants need not apply.
