What is the role?
As a GTO Field Officer, you are the backbone of our group training program, keeping apprentices and trainees employed, and host employers building their future skilled workforce. You will be making a genuine difference to lives and livelihoods.
The GTO Field Officer is responsible for promoting Group Training Services throughout the community, placing employees into apprenticeships and traineeships, and walking alongside our Apprentices and Trainees, from commencement through to completion in their given field.
Responsibilities Include:
* Establishing and maintaining relationships with local large and small businesses
* Active listening and clear communication skills, as you interview host businesses and potential job candidates, conduct aptitude tests, and place employees into apprenticeships and traineeships
* Inducting and onboarding apprentices/trainees to new workplaces
* Providing mentoring and employment support throughout an apprentice or trainees time with us
* Conducting Site visits with employers and engaging in WHS Training
* Developing our presence and brand in the community by selling our GTO Services.
* General administration duties relevant to the role
About You:
* A strong and adaptive communicator
* Previous experience in a recruitment focused role (desirable)
* Previous experience in a sales focused role (desirable)
* Multi-tasker with the ability to prioritise a big workload with ease
* Willing to travel
* Driver’s licence and reliable transport (essential)
* Understanding of WHS and IR practices / principles
* NSW Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
