* The Aboriginal Health Team (AHT) is a community-based health service located in Healesville available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families living anywhere in Eastern Health’s catchment. The service adopts a holistic approach in line with cultural best-practice, and provides a broad range of services which are available both on-site in Healesville and through home visits and outreach.

About the role
The AHT Clinical Team Leader will assist the Aboriginal Health Team Manager to actively lead service delivery, guiding and collaborating with the AHT interdisciplinary team. The AHT Clinical Team Leader provides oversight for clinical quality and risk, service performance and care standards within their areas of expertise. They provide leadership and expert opinion on service related queries. They act as a role model to staff and stakeholders, always demonstrating Eastern Health values and professionalism.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
* Bachelor of Nursing/Midwifery/Psychiatric or other recognized equivalent formal qualification leading to condition free registration in Australia
* Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australian (NMBA) via AHPRA
* Robust understanding of the principles of primary health care and experience in providing patient care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers in community settings
* Clinical expertise and relevant post-graduate qualification in a complementary specialist field which may include: chronic disease management; mental health; alcohol and other drugs treatment and support; counselling.
* Victorian Driver’s License
* Working With Children Check
* Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
* A strong commitment to high quality care
* The ability to work as part of a diverse team
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
