You’ll be steering a portfolio of experiential projects—from small activations to large-scale events, including a key part of a major global sporting event. Your role is to turn big ideas into seamless executions, owning production from start to finish.That means managing budgets, locking in suppliers, handling logistics, and ensuring every event runs like a dream. You’ll be across every detail—sourcing the best suppliers, creating rock-solid schedules, tracking costs, assessing risks, and keeping clients informed. Your expertise will shape creative concepts from the start, making sure they’re feasible, on budget, and delivered to perfection.You’ll also be a leader—mentoring junior producers as the team evolves, guiding them through the wild world of production, and helping them grow. Collaboration is key; you’ll work closely with our creative, design, and account teams, ensuring production elevates every idea. And when things don’t go to plan? You’ll be the one who stays calm, finds a solution, and keeps things moving. This year, your focus will be on delivering a milestone project at a major global sporting event. If you love high-energy environments and live for summer sport, this is your moment.WHAT YOU’LL DOLead medium to large-scale experiential projects across a variety of clients.Own end-to-end production—from pre-production planning through to live execution and post-event wrap-ups.Manage budgets like a pro—ensuring jobs are delivered on budget and at the right profit margins.Prepare flawless documentation—including production schedules, budgets, briefing docs, meeting agendas, presentation decks, and project updates.Handle all onsite logistics—from run sheets and call sheets to risk assessments and supplier schedules.Lead and foster client relationships, keeping them informed and happy, ensuring their expectations are exceeded at every stage.Work side-by-side with creatives, designers, and suppliers, ensuring every execution is the best it can be.Vet all creative concepts during the pitch process, ensuring feasibility, affordability, and smooth execution.Lead and mentor junior team members, shaping the future of our production department.Oversee multiple projects at once, keeping everything on track, on time, and on budget.Report to the Head of Experiential on overall project status and any key concerns.WHO YOU ARE5+ years agency/event production experience (client-facing).A creative problem-solver who thrives on making the impossible happen.A logistics master—scheduling, budgeting, and supplier wrangling are second nature to you.Experience in design & construction for events—working with build suppliers, engineers, and production teams.Can confidently lead live events onsite including managing all suppliers during bump in, live event and bump out.Comfortable managing both suppliers and junior team members.Sharp financial skills—you know how to build and manage budgets that work.A multi-tasker who can juggle multiple projects at once without missing a beat.Detail-obsessed—nothing gets past you.A strong network of suppliers and production contacts in Melbourne (bonus points for Sydney).Experience at The Australian Open is a plus (but not essential).Happy to roll up your sleeves—TABOO is a small, fast-moving team, and everyone pitches in.WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOWWe’re a B Corp, meaning we do business as a force for good—people, planet, and profit all matter here.We value diversity—different perspectives make our work better.
