Job Description:
Pine Rivers Special School is a state school catering for students from Prep to Year 12 who have been verified as having a significant Intellectual Disability qualifying them for the highest level of support offered by Education Queensland.
All students are supported in their engagement with the Australian Curriculum, which is differentiated to a level commensurate with the child's cognitive ability and interest level. They also participate in a range of skills training programs, especially within areas such as Communication and Literacy development, Social Skills Training, and the development of Positive Behaviours for Learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Differentiate teaching methods to cater to diverse student needs
* Develop and implement skills training programs to enhance student learning
* Foster positive behaviors and social skills in students
Requirements:
* Relevant teaching qualification
* Current full registration or provisional registration with eligibility for full registration as a teacher in Queensland
* Exemption card issued by Blue Card Services (for teachers working in Education and Care Services)
