A new opportunity is available for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join a national food manufacturer. This role reports to the HR/Safety Manager.Hours of work Mon to Friday with availability to work one late shift per week. (10 am to 6.30 pm)Key Responsibilities:Undertake risk assessments across the site.Assist to further develop work instructions.Facilitate OHS training.Maintain OHS data and records.Assist with Return to Work programs.Conduct required inspections and audits as directed to ensure compliance.Build relationships with stakeholders to ensure safety management processes are implemented as directed.Requirements:Strong communication, relationship building and interpersonal skills.Strong attention to detail and written skills.Current drivers licence and vehicle.A qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (Minimum Cert IV) or relevant workplace experience in the field.Minimum 2 years experience in an HSE role with previous experience in food manufacturing highly regarded.An understanding of risk management principles and the ability to apply these principles in hazard management.Demonstrated understanding and application of relevant legislation.Successful applicant will need to enter manufacturing areas on a regular basis and be able to work in a meat manufacturing environment.Be available to work one afternoon shift per week. 10 am to 6.30 pm (day flexible).D’Orsogna is an equal opportunity employer, and considerations will be made for experienced job seekers seeking part-time employment or flexible hours.
