We are looking for an experienced employment lawyer to join the Office of General Counsel (OGC) team. As a member of the team, you will provide practical legal advice and risk-based solutions on a range of employment law and people related matters. Strong communication skills, prioritising integrity, delivering quality, and the ability to be a team player are essential.
As an employment lawyer in OGC, working within a team of employment lawyers, your impact will be seen by:
Providing trusted and sensible advice on employee relations and conduct related matters and investigationsProviding oral and written legal advice to stakeholders on a range of employment and people related matters, projects and policies, investigations, and disputesDrafting employment related documents such as contracts and policies/processesDelivering training/presentationsMonitoring legal and regulatory changes, and developing flexible, creative, and innovative solutions to business problemsReporting to internal stakeholders at all levels of the organisationProviding focused and pragmatic solutions to address legal risk and business problemsAbout You: To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of 4 years PQE with an employment law backgroundPost-admission experience in the area of employment law, ideally with some private practice experience. Work health and safety law experience would be beneficialExperience conducting employment litigationExperience working within teams of lawyers and supporting and consulting senior lawyersTechnical and employment law knowledgeExcellent interpersonal and commercial skills, as well as an ability to build relationships and influence with impactThe ability to identify and consider critical and key issues, assess and articulate legal risks (including likelihood and impact) so the business can make informed, risk-based commercial decisionsThe ability to prioritise multiple tasks and projectsIt's time to move forward.
