Activeco manages sites ranging in location throughout SEQ that conduct activities such as: Natural Areas maintenance (weed control and regeneration) Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD)Fire and fuel management including fire access lines (FALS) and post/pre burn requirements RevegetationWaterbody maintenance Rubbish management About the role The successful applicant will be expected be part of a crew to deliver bush regeneration outcomes and support revegetation projects. Activities will include herbicide application, revegetation, vegetation management, wetland maintenance and erosion control. Primary purpose of a Bush Regenerator at Activeco will be to undertake high quality conservation maintenance, bush regeneration/revegetation and various other ecological restoration activities. Skills and Experience Cert III Conservation and Land Management (Natural Area Restoration) or equivalent experience and;Experience and knowledge as an employed bush regenerator (min 12mths)To be successful in this role you will have: ACDC or ChemcertWhite CardFirst Aid/CPRWillingness and ability to work in various locations throughout south-east Queensland. (e.g. Logan, Brisbane, Moreton Bay)Demonstrate sound communication skillsWell-developed knowledge of and identification skills of weeds of south-east Queensland.A commitment to conducting safe work practises Demonstrated experience and knowledge of ecological restoration including assisted regeneration, revegetation and large scale weed control in accordance with the Southeast Queensland Ecological Restoration Framework Practical knowledge of bush regeneration methods and site assessmentPhysically fit, motivated, and capable of working in challenging outdoor environmentsSelf-motivated, passionate, friendly, proactive, professional with a positive attitudereliable and punctual with a high level of integrity and a sound understanding of appropriate behaviours in the workplaceKnowledge of operation and troubleshooting 2 stroke machines.
