Join a leading construction compliance company, who are seeking a skilled and proactive Accountant to join their team in St Kilda. This role will play a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the company’s accounting functions.Key Responsibilities:Perform bookkeeping duties including accurate data entry, reconciling bank accounts, and managing accounts payable/receivable.Prepare BAS, IAS, payroll tax, FBT, and Workcover declarations for external accountant lodgement.Process and follow up on debtor payments, ensuring timely recovery of outstanding invoices.Oversee payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and legislative compliance.Provide weekly financial reports and support management with financial analysis and ad-hoc reporting.Assist with preparation of superannuation payments and ensure legislative compliance across all financial reporting.Key Requirements:Strong experience in accounting or bookkeeping, with advanced Excel skills.Experience with Xero or similar accounting software.Knowledge of BAS, GST, payroll, FBT, and other Australian taxation requirements.High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple financial functions efficiently.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.SMSF experience highly desirable.About You: You’re a motivated, detail-focused individual who thrives in a dynamic office environment.
