We have an exciting opportunity for a Infrastructure Engagement Manager (Mainframe) to join Westpac’s Mainframe Infrastructure Services team within Group Technology. We are open to candidates applying Australia wide as this person will not be expected to be on site but may be required to attend the Sydney office periodically.
This person will be responsible for supporting Westpac’s complex mainframe environment and the technical team. This role plays an important part in managing the development and change of the Mainframe and ensures that the agreed solution is delivered within the agreed timeframes.
You will be involved in the following responsibilities:
* Responsible for customer engagements for the SW infrastructure team.
* Communicate with requestors to provide the estimates. Estimates are compiled with input from SMEs.
* Clarify that customer requirements are clear, concise, and complete before engaging the technical team.
* Manage and report on resourcing and engagements, including status reports, forecasting, and estimating tools.
What do I need?
To be successful in this Infrastructure Engagement Manager (Mainframe) role, you will have:
* 7+ years’ experience in a complex IT infrastructure environment incorporating planning, implementation, operational management, configuration, and maintenance.
* Good knowledge of Mainframe infrastructure, technologies, and products.
* Project management skills are desirable, but not mandatory.
* The ability to navigate around the mainframe platform.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Mainframe knowledge is an advantage, although not mandatory.
