The role:
We are looking for an experienced and driven Workplace, Health, Safety& Quality Manager to join our business on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering parental leave. This newly created position within our business is pivotal in enhancing our workplace safety standards through a comprehensive review and overhaul of our current practices.
You will be responsible for conducting a thorough gap analysis, developing a strategic WHS plan, and implementing processes, policies, and procedures that align with best practices and legal requirements.
How would you contribute to our success?
* Conduct a comprehensive gap analysis of current WHS practices to identify deficiencies and areas for improvement.
* Develop a detailed WHS strategy and implementation plan that addresses identified gaps and enhances overall workplace safety.
* Create, update, and implement WHS processes, policies, and procedures that comply with relevant legislation and industry standards.
* Provide expert advice and guidance to management and staff on all aspects of workplace health and safety.
* Lead WHS risk assessments, and audits to ensure compliance and identify potential hazards.
* Coordinate and deliver WHS training programs to educate employees on safety practices and responsibilities.
* Lead Incident Investigations, reporting findings and recommendations.
* Monitor and report on WHS performance, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to established protocols.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to foster a culture of safety and ensure that WHS initiatives are effectively integrated into business operations.
* Prepare and present regular reports and updates for the executive team on the safety performance and progress of WHS initiatives and compliance status.
* Evaluate and scope potential WHS management software solutions, assessing their benefits and delivering a comprehensive business case for the most suitable option.

* Proven experience leading and carrying out the above contributions.
* Extensive knowledge, interpretation and application of WHS legislation
* Your qualification within WHS or a related field
* Your experience working with and influencing executive or senior leadership teams.
* Your experience in developing and presenting influential business cases.
* Your experience in developing and implementing strategic plans and initiatives.
* Your willingness and ability to travel within Australia and NZ
