About The Opportunity
ACCP is recruiting a Level 3 dietitian to join the multidisciplinary team working together to achieve better health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander people within SWSLHD who live with chronic health conditions. “Closing the Health Gap for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is everyone’s business” The Aboriginal Chronic care team are committed to achieving equitable outcomes for Aboriginal people in SWSLHD. The Dietician role is a pivotal part of working toward achieving this outcome. You will be working alongside a team of Care coordinators being CNS 2 or Allied Health staff, as well as Specialists and other visiting allied health service providers, to provide holistic care needs from our clinic settings.

What You'll be Doing
This position is responsible for providing patient centred and high quality nutrition services to clients in [insert facility, service or LGA], including providing nutritional care to patients as per caseload; provide and participate in education and evaluation; supervise students and Level 1-2 dietitian as appropriate; and participate in ongoing professional development.

1. Aboriginality – this position has been advertised under the SWSLHD Aboriginal Targeted Recruitment Program. 2. Post graduate qualification or Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics as recognized by the Dietitians Association of Australia.
3. Relevant clinical experience including demonstrated advanced practice skills and management of complex case load.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including group education skills and excellent computer skills including CBORD.
5. Experience and knowledge in service development and quality improvement.
6. Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development and evidence based practice.
7. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of the team.
8. Demonstrated ability in clinical supervision of students and/or staff.
9. Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment.
