Relocating to Our Region

About the role
Come and join the GV Health Rural Allied Health Team (RAHT), a team with a well renowned supportive workplace culture with an opportunity to work alongside experienced Physiotherapists.
Our multidisciplinary team includes Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Social Work and Speech Pathology services, supported by Allied Health Assistants.
A great opportunity to experience the public and community sector with a supportive team who can equip you with the skills needed for a strong career start. In this role you will work autonomously, undertake a varied and diverse workload and provide interventions in predominately home based settings, making a true difference to our client’s independence and well-being. There is no nursing home work.
The Physiotherapist will provide person centred care with an opportunity to:
* Travel across the Goulburn Valley region working in home and clinic settings
* Work with clients, carers and families to provide practical solutions to promote independence and safety at home
* Advise on walking aids, strength, mobility and balance and complete home exercise programs
* Deliver group programs
* Develop goals and care plans to assist clients to remain at home and active in their local community
* Work with a diverse range of clients and health conditions
* Participate in student training programs
* Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives
A comprehensive orientation program is available, along with supervision and support opportunities.
We are looking for a Physiotherapist with:
* Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) and eligibility for membership of professional association
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Physiotherapist
* Knowledge of the service system and ability to liaise and advocate across the full spectrum of health and community care
* Experience in the delivery of Physiotherapy services within home, group and community settings to clients with complex presentations, inclusive of complex health conditions, memory impairment, cultural and diverse backgrounds.
* Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills, including computer literacy and the ability to produce well-written reports.
* NDIS clearance on commencement.
