Khalsa Transport Logistics has an exciting opportunity for a Transport Manager to join our business team, based at our Melbourne site.
Directly reporting to the senior management of the company, you will be responsible for supporting all the Metro and Regional Transport operations.
You will be required to oversee all the active routes of the organization and manage a highly skilled workforce.
You will be required to meet new clients needing assistance and assess their requirements while maintaining relations with existing clients.
Key Responsibilities: The ability to think strategically and to understand what needs to be done.Effectively planning the fleet operations saving fuel costs and ensuring quick turn-around time for the clients.Track and monitor performance of various teams using Data Analytics tools.Communicate with clients and service coordinators over the phone.Explain to clients how services are charged and ensure they fully understand this; strong communication ability is key.Assess and suggest which service will best suit each client's needs.Daily communication with Service Schedulers and team members.Strong awareness of occupational health and safety.Responsible for the administrative side, including sick leave, holidays, and overseeing KPIs for casual and part-time staff.Allocate mentors to new joiners and ensure they receive proper training.Provide weekly Financial and Operations Reports to senior management.Think outside the box and suggest new innovative solutions to ease various business processes.To be successful in this role, you will: Have a strong academic background, with a Bachelor's or Master's degree from reputed institutes preferred.Have proven two years of experience working in a multi-cultural environment, handling teams and directly reporting to senior management.Possess excellent time management skills in a fast-paced operational environment.Have experience with Workforce Management Solutions (Kronos).Have accurate data entry skills to support customer DIFOT reporting.Have financial reporting and analytics knowledge for capturing costs incurred across various runs and routes.Possess advanced computer skills and the ability to fully utilize existing data and obtain insights.Understand transport KPIs to monitor and improve operational performance.Have strong retail domain experience and have worked in a Warehouse Operations team.Have a strong IT background in managing and drafting requirements for IT Business Solutions for the company in the future.Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team. #J-18808-Ljbffr
