You will report directly to the CEO and support our leadership team in maintaining and growing our company culture, employee engagement, and day-to-day HR operations.In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering key HR services, including recruitment, employee relations, policy development, and payroll. Additionally, you will work closely with managers across departments to assist with employee learning and development plans, helping them grow and retain talent, without taking full ownership of their career development initiatives.What You'll Be Doing: Full employee lifecycle management: Manage and enhance the entire employee experience from recruitment, onboarding, development, retaining to offboarding.Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employees, address workplace concerns, mediate conflicts, and promote a positive workplace environment.Policy Management: Develop and maintain HR policies, including employee handbooks, leave policies, and performance management procedures.Payroll and Benefits Administration: Manage payroll, oversee employee benefits, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.Performance Management: Support managers in conducting employee reviews and establishing career development and learning plans.Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws, including workplace health and safety.Training Coordination: Facilitate or coordinate training programs that support employee development in line with business goals.Employee Engagement: Organize team-building events, ensure milestones are celebrated and contribute to initiatives that improve employee satisfaction and retention.Data and Reporting: Maintain employee records, track key HR metrics, and provide regular reports to the leadership team on workforce trends.Office and Equipment Management: Coordinate access to our offices, manage team events and ensure employees have the gear they need to get their jobs done. About You: Degree in Human Resources or related field: A relevant qualification is essential.HR Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in an HR management role, ideally in a small to mid-sized company, with experience creating processes and structure from scratch.Leadership and Mentoring: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to mentor managers and influence at all levels of the business.Self-Starter: You thrive in ambiguous environments and have the ability to work independently to build frameworks and policies in fast-moving settings.Process-Oriented: You excel at creating and refining HR processes that support learning, development, and employee success.HR Expertise: Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and regulations in Australia relevant to our industry.Proficiency with HR Systems: Skilled in using HR software and systems, with strong analytical and reporting capabilities.Organizational Skills: Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.Stakeholder Management: Excellent relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution: Adept at resolving workplace challenges and promoting a collaborative work environment.Our Dynamic and Inclusive Workplace We are a people-first company, with flexible work arrangements that allow you to work remotely or from our offices.
