Senior Operations Assistant Role
Job Summary
The Senior Operations Assistant plays a crucial role in the efficient handling of grain throughout our Elevator. This includes maintaining clean and well-maintained facilities, receiving and managing grain shipments, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
* Maintains compliance with corporate environment, health and safety policies, and best practices; ensures subcontractors adhere to these standards.
* Ensures adherence to environmental standards, industry regulatory requirements, and grading standards.
* Plans and supervises junior employees for operation transfers, reception, and expedition as required.
* Operates Terminal control systems.
* Maintains physical facilities, ensuring they are clean, efficient, and well-maintained, and communicates maintenance needs as required.
* Receives grain by truck, including weighing and documentation.
* Samples grain prior to unloading and during transfer within the facility.
* Supervises and operates grain cleaning equipment to remove dockage.
* Bins and transfers grain.
* Provides friendly and quality customer service to all farmers and commercial truckers.
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years of relevant experience at an Elevator and/or Terminal.
* Previous customer service experience is required.
* Farm or Ag industry experience is necessary.
