Change and Operational Readiness Manager We are seeking an exceptional individual to join the Reserve Bank of Australia's Banking team.
You will play a pivotal role in driving our digital payment strategy in line with the Government's strategic plan for Australia's payments system.
Working within our Banking department, you will lead the development and delivery of change plans and operational deliverables to support the Banking department's response to the decommissioning of the Bulk Electronic Clearing System (BECS) with minimal disruption to our government agency customers.
In this high-profile program, you will provide the full range of change management support across the project lifecycle and embed key project deliverables across the Department and external parties.

This is a 5-year ongoing contract where you will contribute to an organisation that is committed to promoting the economic welfare of the Australian people.
Your Responsibilities Provide end-to-end change management services to the BECS Transition Program and business-as-usual (BAU) Banking team that includes impact analysis, stakeholder identification and mapping, communications and engagement, gap analysis and transition planning.
Work effectively to ensure the seamless operational transition of responsibilities between the Program and BAU Banking team and support ongoing general business practices.
Manage internal and external relationships, communicating and collaborating effectively with key business, technology and customer stakeholders to successfully deliver change.
Prepare and address the human and operational impacts of planned changes and drive the realisation of benefits.
Use a structured approach to improve business processes and people capabilities that ensure the effective transition of program deliverables to business-as-usual operations.
Identify and proactively manage risks and issues associated with the impact of change and develop plans to mitigate.
Prepare materials to build awareness and understanding of new ways of working for internal and external stakeholders.
Work collaboratively with all members of the program team and the Banking department to ensure the Bank meets industry and regulatory requirements and delivers products and services seamlessly to our customer.
Domestic travel may be required.
Your Background Extensive experience leading organisations through transformational and cultural change in highly complex environments.
At least 10 years' experience working in critical operational industries such as Banking, Financial Services, Utilities, operational Government departments, etc.
Substantial stakeholder engagement experience dealing with senior business and IT executives and external customers.
Experience working in high pressure program environments that are ambitious, with multiple streams of work and inter-connected timelines.
The ability to independently identify, analyse and solve problems using a logical, systematic, sequential approach.
Ability to manage and meet competing demands.
Demonstrated ability to develop and own change management strategies that integrate project streams with business-as-usual teams and workflows.
Exceptional communications and engagement skills in connecting people to purpose and outcomes.
Experience and exposure to agile ways of working is highly desirable.
Experience and exposure to transactional banking products is highly desirable.

The Banking Department provides a range of banking services to Australian government departments and agencies as well as several overseas central banks and official institutions.
