About the company and role: The company is a well-known food coatings provider located in the eastern suburbs of Perth. They are seeking a Quality Specialist to join their team ona 12 month fixed term contract role, with the potential to extend. -Annual leave and sick leave included. -Monday to Friday -Day shift: 8am-4pm As the Quality Specialist you will be responsible for upholding all quality standards at all times to ensure good quality, safe products are produced and that all manufacturing practices are compliant with best practice food safety standards. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Inspection and testing of incoming raw materials at receival and final products. Prepare and dispatch of product samples for testing – micro and chemical. Certificates of Analysis (COA) compilation. GMP/pre-start/post-production inspection. Coordinate external audits. Report weekly complaints. Review service supplier performances. Perform annual HACCP and Management Reviews. Organise and coordinate monthly Quality & Operations meetings. Maintain all Quality records including HACCP, BRC and YUM. Raise non-conformances and investigation of these where applicable, and assessing any no-conformances and preventative action requests required for improvement. Ensure staff adhere to GMP and HACCP/food safety principles and procedure. About you: Diploma/Degree in Food Science/Food Technology or equivalent A minimum 3 years experience in a QA/QC role in food manufacturing or food laboratory Good understanding of HACCP Attention to detail Good written and verbal communication skills Works well autonomously and with teams Leadership skills and the ability to influence peers and managers in Manufacturing Computer literate (MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. High standards for cleanliness, safety, following GMP for manufacturing and logistics Highly organised, with good planning/prioritising and time management skills In addition to this, you will be a quality-focused individual with excellent attention to detail, have a love for working in a fast paced environment and enjoy being hands-on.
