This role is in Australia (Hybrid working model).The Reporting Analysts have primary responsibility for the management of a portfolio of Securitisation transactions that BNY is the Trust Manager for, as well as providing calculation support for various other financial market debt instruments.Reporting Analysts for transactions that BNY is the contracted Trust Manager have primary responsibility in administering all aspects of Securitisation transactions. This includes the daily administration activities, monthly calculations of payment obligations and also close working with external clients and internal teams.Additionally, Reporting Analysts are responsible for providing technical support to Global Client Administrators for other financial instruments which include syndicated loans, medium term notes and other fixed income products with active participation on products and services delivered.This role is responsible for addressing client issues proactively, efficiently and to the satisfaction of the client(s).The Reporting Analyst will work in close communication and collaboration with the Business Managers, Client Administration, Client and Business Development, Transaction management group as well as Business and Product Management to ensure the delivery of service excellence to our clients.In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:Under direct guidance, works with internal and external datasets and client reference data and provides analysis in the development of statistical, financial and/or econometric models for analyzing asset performance, securities data, derivative pricing, risk exposure or other sophisticated concepts.Provides analytical support and prepares drafts of standard and ad hoc reports for assigned area. With general guidance, supports assigned area with basic statistical and quantitative analyses.May perform or oversee data management activities in support of more senior quantitative colleagues. Runs models, looks for exceptions, takes corrective action.Builds knowledge of technology tools used to conduct analyses. Applies techniques such as querying and macro development to extract data for populating models.Builds knowledge of processes and products and which analyses, methodologies and approaches best support assessment of performance, risk, or valuation.Interprets findings and prepares initial drafts of standard reports. No direct reports. Primarily responsible for the accuracy and quality of own work. Work contributes to the achievement of team goals.To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:Ensure that clients receive an excellent service.Deal-level Relationship Management - Complete accountability for all service level aspects of the assigned client relationships for the deals that are administered.Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other industry participants as applicable for assigned deal portfolio - e.g. law firms, institutional investors, investment bankers, custodians, lenders, borrowers etc.Have attention to detail, the courage to speak up, capacity to identify issues in large data sets, ability to manage competing and hard deadlines.Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.Advanced degree in quantitative analysis preferred.0-3 years experience within finance preferred.Strong client servicing and communication skills, be able to manage tasks, meet deadlines and have a high level of attention to detail.Product expertise in the syndicated loan / securitisation / fixed income highly regarded.Exposure to relevant loan systems (Loan IQ) and exposure to the APLMA would be an advantage.At BNY, our culture speaks for itself.
