About the Role An opportunity has become available for a Senior Procurement Advisor in Mango Hill QLD for Downer’s Energy & Utilities business unit reporting to the Commercial Manager. This position will develop networks with subcontractors, suppliers and service providers to ensure quality and competitive inputs are available for proposals and procurement activities including collaborating with the regional procurement hub to leverage Downers buying power. The ideal candidate will envision themselves attending to duties such as: Ensure all procurement and contracts are managed in accordance with the Downer Standard, Unity water and legislative requirements including P2P, DFA and payment terms Support bid teams in the development of procurement strategies, including assisting with the preparation and review of RFQs as required Analyse procurement data to track performance, provide insights, and support decision-making for regional procurement activities Identify, manage and report on risks and opportunities associated with procurement activity e.g. cost/schedule/quality Create and issue quotation packages of sufficient quality and detail to provide appropriate pricing estimates for tenders and bids About You A tertiary / post-graduate qualification in Procurement / Commercial / Contract Management or related discipline (e.g. finance, contract law, etc.) is preferred CIPS or similar accreditation preferred Demonstrable 5 experience in procurement, commercial and/or contract management in construction, utilities, oil and gas or similar industry (Tier 1 preferred) A high level of verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with a wide variety of people including managing relationships with external clients / suppliers / contractors, etc Attention to detail, diligent in ensuring tenders and contracts are clear, accurate, and comply with legal, financial, and technical requirements, including alignment with Head Contract requirements What We Offer Excellent work life balance with WFH options available Employee benefits including health and wellness initiatives Personalised career development and growth working with an industry leading team.
