We’re an Indigenous-owned business, proud to work with diverse clients across mining, construction, government, aviation, and defence sectors.About the opportunityWe are seeking a dedicated Airside Wildlife Management Officer with a passion for aviation safety and wildlife management for an opportunity working in locations across South East Queensland, with most of your time spent at Amberley.Whether you have experience as a Wildlife Biologist, Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO), or Wildlife Management Officer (WMO), this role offers an opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic environment. Internal training and support will be provided to ensure your success.In this role, your responsibilities will include:Actively managing wildlife airside to mitigate risks to aviation operationsCollecting and maintaining accurate data on wildlife activity and management measuresLiaising with clients to provide timely updates and expert adviceUpholding high standards of ethics, safety, and operational excellenceAbout youYou have a passion for the aviation industry, are a dependable and safety-focused professional with a commitment to maintaining high operational and safety standards. You thrive in dynamic environments and excel at managing your responsibilities with precision and care.To be successful in this role, you will have:A strong understanding of wildlife behaviour and its implications for aviation safetyField experience demonstrating situational awareness in airside and aircraft environments (desirable)Experience or confidence with radio communications, ideally VHF (Ground and Tower)Qualifications such as Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) or Work Safety Officer (desirable)A General Construction Induction Card (White Card)A Firearms Licence (Category A & B) – highly desirable but not essentialEligibility to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)This position requires a Baseline Australian Government Security Clearance.
