POSITION DETAILS Position Title Cleaner Business Unit FM Operations Team City Cleaning Services Position Reports To Cleaning Manager Location Various Classification/Grade As per EBA and Employment Contract Employment Type Casual Relationships Internal: § City Co-Workers § Cleaning Lending Hand § Regional Cleaning Supervisor § National Cleaning Operations Manager External: § External Manager and Operations Manager § External Team Members § Contractors Special Requirements Driver’s Licence – Preferred POSITION SUMMARY The Cleaning Team Member is responsible for cleaning all areas of a sight to the standards detailed in the “How to Guides” (HTG’s) and “Skills Guides” (SG’s). This work is to be completed within designated timeframes and delivered to a high standard of customer service as detailed in the training provided to the Team Member. They are also responsible for: § Cleaning and maintaining any area as directed, using approved systems and techniques, as set out in the HTG’s and SG’s. § Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards across all areas. § Ensuring Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) policies and procedures are followed. § Correctly using chemicals, equipment and machinery in adherence with specifications. § Immediate response to cleaning tasks that affect operations KEY SELECTION CRITERIA Qualifications Certificate in Cleaning/Asset Maintenance (1, 2 or 3) – Highly regarded or willing to obtain these certificates Experience/Expertise § Use scrubbing equipment in industrial environment § Used Color coded equipment in industrial /retail environment PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS § Intermittent and regular bending, lifting, kneeling, crouching in restricted and confined spaces, on various surfaces (i.e. concrete, etc.) § Undertake manual work including moving or lifting items, twisting or high repetitive tasks § Work above shoulder height which could include operating tools above shoulder heights § Work outdoors in heat, cold, wet and be able to manoeuvre equipment § Stand and work on feet for considerable periods of time during the day § Operate various pieces of equipment (e.g. drill, impact tools, etc) which includes rotating hand and arm movements, awkward positions and movements § Working at heights with appropriate lifting equipment § Ability to wear personal protective equipment (including facemask) as required by City’s health & safety policies & procedures or Government directives KEY RESULT AREAS (KRAs) AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Key Result Areas Key Responsibilities % Weight Completion of scheduled tasks within set timeframes Carry out assigned cleaning work on or around the premises as per the work schedule to a high standard, following the SG’s and HTG’s. Bring premises into, or maintain premises in, a clean condition Advise Cleaning Supervisor when chemicals are low or any accidental damage to chemical equipment or cleaning hardware (mops, buckets, tools. Respond to calls for cleaning assistance in a timely manner. Food Safety & Hygiene Clean food preparation areas ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met in line with Food Safety standards described in the SG’s and HTG’s. Clean all meal areas, bathrooms, toilets, and amenities areas to standard described in the SG’s and HTG’s. Equipment Management Operate all cleaning equipment and LLOP/Loaders as per the Coles Traffic Management Plan for the site. Clean and maintain all equipment in accordance to the SG’s and HTG’s. OH&S Adhere to all City Health and Safety (Think Safe) policies and procedures at all times.
