We are partnering with a leading organisation in the Defence sector to deliver essential maintenance services across key sites, ensuring operational excellence and efficiency. As a Facilities Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the delivery of General Estate Works (GEW) under a high-profile Defence contract.
Your new role
Your responsibilities will include coordinating in-house trades and subcontractors, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with all contractual and safety standards. You will also be the key point of contact for stakeholders on-site, maintaining relationships and ensuring the timely completion of maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and manage all General Estate Works (GEW) under the Defence contract, ensuring seamless delivery and adherence to key performance indicators.
* Oversee in-house trades and subcontractors, providing site access, permits, and relevant information to ensure smooth operations.
* Manage costs and budgets associated with GEW services, ensuring financial control and value for money.
* Maintain strong, productive relationships with clients and customer representatives to ensure service delivery meets expectations.
* Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all works within the GEMS system, allocating and triaging service requests as required.
* Monitor performance metrics, ensuring that maintenance activities are completed on time and in line with contractual obligations.
* Uphold high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance throughout service delivery.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in facilities maintenance administration or coordination, ideally within the Defence or a highly regulated environment.
* Strong understanding of work order management, including cost control, triage, and on-time performance.
* Familiarity with hazardous material protocols and safety standards.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
* Knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and SAP is advantageous.
* A current driving licence, and need to be an Australian Citizen as this role requires eligibility for a Defence security clearance.
