We are excited to announce the recent transformation of ARH Wollongong, unveiling our brand-new, cutting-edge facility! This revamped space boasts an array of enhancements, including:
1. A total of nine consult rooms, with the addition of five new ones.
2. Three state-of-the-art surgical theatres, with two more added to the lineup.
3. Purpose-built areas for dental care, ultrasound, and endoscopy.
4. A revitalized reception area, complete with a cat-friendly waiting zone!
We're on the lookout for a skilled and dedicated Emergency Vet to join our dynamic team! This position involves a unique co-location arrangement, allowing you to collaborate closely with colleagues in the General Practice clinic. Our mission is to deliver top-notch Emergency care and expertise to the Wollongong and greater Illawarra region.
Your Skills & Experience:
1. Possession of a Veterinary degree eligible for registration in NSW.
2. A minimum of 2 years of professional experience.
3. Highly desirable previous experience in emergency veterinary care.
4. A remarkable ability to maintain composure and display empathy in high-pressure scenarios.
5. Effective communication skills, whether with peers, pet owners, or referring veterinarians.
6. A sincere passion for assisting individuals and their beloved pets during their times of need.
Qualifications
Our ideal new casual team member would:
1. Align with our team values: Kindness, Honesty, Teamwork and Patient Care.
2. Have 2 years or more experience working as an emergency or general practice veterinarian. (Experience working in a busy multi-disciplinary hospital would be highly regarded.)
3. Be available to work a combination of day, night, and evening shifts.
4. Be comfortable working sole charge and managing routine emergency presentations.
5. Be eager to learn how to manage more complex patients under the supervision of our critical care team.
