About your opportunity:
Fixed term temporary full-time or part-time / 12 months / Location: Townsville
The Audiologist will deliver high level paediatric audiology clinical services and professional leadership (may include clinical and/or research focus) within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS), to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health, providing support to less experienced personnel, allied health assistants and health workers in accordance with organisational goals. Ensure a professional, efficient and effective diagnostic service contributes to patient care and positive outcomes for referring clinicians within and outside THHS.Position requires to work both at hospital and Kirwan Health Campus.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has been approved and can demonstrate the following:
1. Clinical Practice - Demonstrated high level knowledge, expertise and skills in paediatric clinical audiology.
2. Communication - Demonstrated ability to provide and deliver high level clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors regarding multidisciplinary clinic service delivery and improvement opportunities.
3. Leadership - Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvements initiatives and provide clinical supervision to subordinate personnel.
4. Clinical Ability - Demonstrated ability to provide paediatric audiology clinical services of complex nature, where established principles, procedures and methods require some expansion, adaptation or modification.

5. Generous pro rata remuneration package (based on full-time equivalent value) up to $152,775 p.a. comprising:
6. Salary range of $4769.60 to $5132.40 p.f. or $62.75 to $57.53 p.h. (HP4)
7. 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
8. 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Candidate Requirements:
9. Proof of qualification (Audiology) and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association (Audiological Society of Australia).
10. The possession of post-graduate qualifications is highly desirable.
11. This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
12. Possession of class C drivers' licence.
13. Probation period may apply.
14. Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
