Operate water and/or wastewater treatment plants, providing drinking water for our community and treating wastewater for the benefit of our environment.
Ensure equipment is maintained according to schedule and carry out tests and analysis on biochemical treatment processes.
Maintain site security and a safe workplace.
Utilize remote asset performance systems (e.g., SCADA) to keep our plants operational.
Assist with minor maintenance of pipes, pumps, valves, and other mechanical components at the treatment plant site.
Respond to emergencies and alarms during incidents.
Maintain a safe workplace for yourself and others.
Engage in continuous improvement efforts.
Work as part of a dedicated team to deliver great service and outcomes.
Participate in an on-call roster for after-hours issues.
About You
If you haven't done so already, we would like to help you complete a Certificate IV in Water Industry Treatment qualification.
We seek individuals ready, willing, and able to develop their skill set and capabilities.
Qualifications – Essential
Cert III or other recognized study and training in a relevant field.
A full Australian Driver's License.
Mechanical or Electrical Trade – Desirable.
Basic understanding of treatment plant operations.
Knowledge of sewer collection and water distribution networks is beneficial.
Familiarity with regulations related to water and wastewater treatment.
Ability to perform simple laboratory tests (training provided).
Proficiency in using computers and Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with SCADA is a plus.
