A Federal Government department is seeking to engage an experienced IT Support Officer (Level 1 & 2) to provide high quality, responsive and timely 1st and 2nd level IT support to members and staff and assist the Team Leader to manage the Service Desk, and ensure ITIL processes are followed, especially with regard to incident management and the communication of solutions and technical knowledge. The successful IT Support Officer (Level 1 & 2) will be offered an ASAP start for an initial 6 month contract and rewarding daily rates $$$
The successful IT Support Officer (Level 1 & 2) will be responsible for, but not limited to:
* Provide high quality, responsive and timely 1st and 2nd level IT support to members and staff
* Assist the Team Leader in monitoring and managing the Service Desk system and roster, including providing guidance to the Service Desk team
* Support the Team Leader in ensuring technology support follows ITIL principles
Thesuccessful IT Support Officer (Level 1 & 2) will have experience in the following:
* Demonstrated experience managing and operating service desk functions and acting as a contact point to receive and handle requests for support
* Coordinating responses to incident reports, minimising negative impacts and restoring service as quickly as possible.
* Prioritises and diagnoses incidents. Investigates causes of incidents and seeks resolution. Escalates unresolved incidents.
