About the Role!
As a Registered Nurse within the Choices Program, you will provide quality nursing care, delivering sexual and reproductive health services. Reporting to the Senior Manager - Service Delivery and under day-to-day supervision from the Nurse - Program Coordinator, we are looking to recruit an individual with capability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team. Previous nursing experience within a sexual health setting; assisting GP’s with IUD insertion, and providing support for unplanned pregnancy is desirable.
This role is based in Lismore, 17 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct pregnancy testing, and counselling as required.
* Follow up on abnormal pathology results and manage patient call-backs.
* Dispense repeats of oral contraceptives.
* Maintain clinical rooms and ensure proper disposal of medical equipment.
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery.
* Assist doctors with IUD insertions.
Key Selection Criteria
* Current APHRA / NMBA registration as a registered nurse in NSW
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Proficient computer skills with demonstrated experience in medical software.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Additional Requirements:
* Current National Police Check
* Current NSW Working with Children Check
* NSW Driver’s License
