Our NSW Government client is hiring for a highly capable Engineer & Project Manager to join the team. Based in Orange/Lithgow offices, this role requires developing and delivering upon slope remediation projects around Oberon and Lithgow LGA's. The Engineer & Project Manager will lead projects within the Natural Disasters space to deliver outcomes (transport infrastructure or maintenance projects) in accordance with the project scope and business requirements.
Contract Length: ASAP start, for a 12 Month Day Rate Contract
Daily Pay: $800 - $1,000 + Super per day.
Location: Lithgow, 2790.
Role Requirements:
1. Provide efficient and effective project and contract management services by ensuring that the nominated projects are developed and delivered to specified time, cost, quality, and scope requirements that meet Government and organisational objectives.
2. Lead the investigation, design, estimating, and procurement processes for the nominated project to deliver required client objectives.
3. Manage the process of development, tendering, awarding, and administration of professional service, construction, and maintenance contracts by controlling the scope, managing contract risks and issues, while fulfilling the role of an organisational Representative.
4. Lead multidisciplinary project teams to drive and deliver project objectives and targets by modelling high-performance behaviours, including teamwork, initiative, and flexibility, and developing less experienced team members through mentoring and coaching.
5. Build and maintain effective working relationships and collaborate with our customers, colleagues, stakeholders, and partners to understand and manage risk and influence sustainable outcomes on projects by the development and implementation of active stakeholder and community involvement plans.
Knowledge and Experience:
1. The successful applicant must have a tertiary degree from an Australian University (or equivalent overseas university) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
2. Previous experience working on large project sites - road, bridge, and/or traffic infrastructure construction or maintenance projects.
3. Experience with slope stabilisation and natural disaster works will be highly regarded.
4. Experience with Contract Management.
5. The following licenses are mandatory - White card, Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plans (PWZTMP), Workers on Foot, drivers licence.
Candidates must be based in or around Lithgow (NSW) and must possess existing full working rights - Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia.
