Duties
* Work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure effective referral of client needs and implementation of new programs, processes, and management systems.
* Build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders to understand industry issues and strategic opportunities that inform departmental priorities.
* Provide expert advice on business and industry development issues and policy as needed.
* Contribute to the delivery of the Advanced Manufacturing Action Plan.
* Support the delivery of related strategies, including the Tasmanian Defence Industry Strategy, the Tasmanian Trade Strategy, and initiatives under the Industry Capability Network Tasmania.
* Identify and analyze development opportunities at the enterprise or industry level, assessing potential assistance from the Department and coordinating applications and project assessment as necessary.
* Evaluate business needs of target clients in key sectors and provide high-quality support to help them develop strategies for maximizing employment, investment, and growth outcomes.
* Assist in preparing detailed submissions and recommendations for financial assistance, along with correspondence, ministerial responses, briefing notes, and other reports as required.
Desirable Requirements
* A current driver's license is preferred.
* Relevant tertiary or industry-recognized qualifications and/or professional affiliations are advantageous.
