SMAART Recruitment has partnered with a reputable facilities management group on a temporary (with view to permanent) role for a functions and boardroom attendant / coordinator to assist in the coordination and management of functions, meetings, training, and events at their stunning 19th century heritage listed building, located on St Kilda Rd.
THE ROLE:
This is a hands on role where you will be involved in both preparation and delivery of functions and events, big and small!
Duties include:
* Coordination and management of functions, meetings, training, and events
* Management of the guest relations
* Management of all onsite inventory, equipment, and catering requirements
* Direct delivery of food and beverage requirements including replenishment of consumables during the day
* Daily coverage and relief of front office and reception duties
* Management and delivery of the set up and clearing of all events
* Procurement, coordination and management of 3rd party vendors
* Administration, record keeping and accounts processing
Essential Criteria:
* Experience working in a similar hands on role
* Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with all stakeholders
* Intermediate level or above using Word, Excel and Outlook software
* Availability to work after hours and weekends on multiple occasions throughout the calendar year
* Hold a current RSA certificate (or be prepared to obtain prior to start)
* Hospitality experience in a supervisory role will be highly regarded
