The RoleWe have a number of roles available, and if successful as an ASD Communication or Media Officer, you may be engaged in one or more of the following tasks at your relevant classification and work level standard:Create content for a variety of communication channels such as social media, electronic direct mail (eDM), web and intranet content, and publications.Prepare media products and speeches for senior government officials.Analyse data and research to apply evidence-based decision making to ASD’s communication activities.Manage internal communication channels and stakeholder engagement, including digital content, coordination for events, corporate awareness raising activities and internal news.Coordinate advertising campaigns and awareness raising activities, including procurement and financial management.Prepare reports and briefings for senior government officials.Manage the accurate completion of work within timeframes and quality requirements, share your expertise with others through guiding and mentoring other employees.Proactively provide specialist advice to stakeholders on the design, development, implementation and evaluation of a range of internal and external communication products and activities.Work collaboratively, negotiate effectively, and influence stakeholders and subject matter experts to deliver desired business outcomes.If successful as a Graphic Designer, you may engage in the following tasks at your relevant classification and work level standard:Provide specialist advice on the design, development and implementation of internal and external graphic design products and activities including print and digital products, publication design and illustration and diagram requirements.Manage the accurate completion of work within timeframes and quality requirements, share own expertise with others and guide and mentor less experienced employees.Apply ASD brand in accordance with the brand guidelines.About our TeamASD is looking for communicators to fill current vacancies and establish a merit list for future vacancies within the Ministerial, Media and Communications branch.The Ministerial, Media and Communications branch provides high quality advice, briefings and awareness raising initiatives that support ASD missions.
