About the Role: Join our team as a Patient Services Assistant on a part time ongoing basis to work at Victorian Heart Hospital, Clayton. The roster will be Monday to Thursday 22.30 - 07.00 (64 hours per fortnight).Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Ward and department cleaningPatient transfersBed makingUse of lifting equipment, bed mover and wheelchairsAssisting nursing staff as requestedTransfer and cleaning of ward equipmentWard errandsAbout You: To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:Certificate III Health Services Assistant (Essential)Previous experience as a Patient Services Assistant (Desirable)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsA commitment to delivering excellent customer serviceTakes pride in your work with great attention to detailHas great time management skills and ability to prioritise tasksExcellent understanding of patient identification proceduresAbility to comprehend and follow written instructions and proceduresAble to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handlingExcellent understanding of cleaning methodologies and infection control proceduresA strong commitment to working effectively as part of a teamBasic to intermediate computer/digital skills for our digital learning systemIn Return: Uniform and Laundry AllowanceSupportive working environmentProviding an important service to our patientsHow to Apply: Applications are accepted via the Monash Health online EHub system.
