Senior HR Advisor - CopperString 2032 Project

The Project
UGL and CPB Contractors have been awarded the early works contract to support Powerlink’s delivery of CopperString 2032. This $5 billion iconic project will initially be approximately 840 kilometres of new transmission line running from just south of Townsville to Mount Isa that will connect Queensland’s North West Minerals Province to the national electricity grid. The project scope includes:
• 500 kilovolt (kV) transmission line from just south of Townsville to Hughenden
• 330kV transmission line from Hughenden to Cloncurry
• 220kV transmission line from Cloncurry to Mount Isa
• up to six new substation sites.
This exciting project has commenced construction and we are currently looking for an experienced Senior HR Advisor who has worked within the construction industry to join the team.
The role will be based in the Brisbane office in Bowen Hills.
What will a day in this role look like:
* Provide generalist HR/IR support to the project team.
* Provide advice, coaching and support to managers to facilitate contemporary HR/IR practices.
* Ensure the learning and development needs of the project are identified and addressed.
* Provide support and advice to leaders to ensure participation in performance management initiatives.
* Management of project-based initiatives to attract, retain and grow our talented team.

What are we looking for you to bring to the team:
* Experience in a Business Partnering role.
* Tertiary qualification/s in HR.
* Experience within a construction industry highly regarded.
* Strong relationship management and communication skills, including the ability to influence key stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to interpret employment contracts, awards and enterprise agreements and knowledge of relevant legislation.
* Intermediate to Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Ability to work autonomously, self-manage, manage deadlines and work in fast-paced environment.
